Getting it together (Recruiting).

A crucial first step in any job is getting the right people for the job. Ecker has a very diverse group of recruiters. Each recruiter is an expert in his or her particular area. The right recruiter is selected for your job. Our computer department provides a list of available respondents that fit your job specifications. Our Recruiters also work from Client provided lists.

Communication between recruiter and client during the recruiting phase of the job is very important. Ecker developed the "demographic sheet" as the primary communication tool between Client and recruiter. The recruiting process at Ecker has been honed to a fine edge and is continually honed to an even finer edge. It sounds trite, however, at Ecker the saying is "difficult jobs are done immediately, impossible jobs take a little longer."

Hosting (San Francisco)

Ecker's San Francisco location is in the heart of San Francisco's Financial District. This location was chosen because it is convient for our clients and respondents.

The Downtown location has two full sized rooms (Embarcadero and Barbary Coast) plus one small room for 1-on-1 interviews. The meeting rooms can easily hold 8 to 12 respondents, more if needed. The viewing rooms will accommodate 8 clients comfortably and more if they are really friendly. The 1-on-1 room can only accommodate three clients. The rooms are wired for audio/visual recording and additionally have ADSL wired and wireless connections for Internet Access.

The Kezar Room serves as a client Office/Lounge. Comfortable furniture plus a computer (with printer) and telephone are at your disposal should you need them. Internet Access is available through an analog phone line or ADSL. To utilize the ADSL connection with your Laptop:

Wireless Connection.

PCMCIA or Integrated Wireless Net Work Adapter Card.
Operating mode set to "Infrastructure"
Net Work Adapter configured to Accept IP Address automatically.

Wired Cable Connection

PCMCIA or Integrated Net Work Adapter Card.
A 7 ft. to 14 ft. Cat-5 or Cat-5e Cable.
Net Work Adapter configured to accept IP Address automatically.

Hosting (South San Francisco)

Ecker's South San Francisco location is about 5 minutes from San Francisco Airport (SFO) by cab. This location is central to the San Francisco Bay Area. Respondents have no trouble getting here and Client's love the proximity to SFO. Again, if you're staying overnight check out the list of local Hotels.

The South San Francisco location has four rooms that vary in size to fit your particular needs. If your group needs room to accommodate a large number of clients (20 to 25) our Sequoia Room is just the room for you. At the other end of the spectrum the Madrone Room will be most adequate. The Madrone Room will handle groups from 1-on1- to about 6 respondents comfortably. The Juniper Room (Viewing Room for the Madrone Room) will seat 8 clients with room to spare. The Laurel Room and the Redwood Room handle all the groups with requirements in between those of the Sequoia and Madrone. The South San Francisco facilities are also wired for audio/visual and offer ADSL wired and wireless connections to the Internet. See "Hosting For San Francisco" for requirements.

The South San Francisco location also has available three client offices. Should you need some privacy to make a phone call or use a computer to check your email. Each office is equipped with a computer (with printer attached), desk, and telephone.

A word about Ecker Hostesses.

Ecker takes great pride in the quality of service our Hostesses provide our clients. Some of our hostesses have been with us for many years and some for just a few months. Ecker spends a lot of time and effort getting our hostesses up to speed. For you, our clients, this means you have at your service the best trained and professional hostesses in the industry. Ecker never stops improving service to our clients. Clients are invited to critique the service after the groups are done. From these critiques Ecker is able to maintain service to the client at the highest possible levels.

Ecker's Background support.

In addition to all of the above there is Ecker's background support, these are the Clerical, Demographic, Computer Room and Accounting personnel that our recruiters rely on for support. The clerical dept. keeps the t's crossed and the i's dotted on all the paper work. The demographic dept. prepares the worksheets that clients have come to rely on for update status regarding jobs in progress. The computer room keeps our respondent database up to date with the latest information on respondents to assure you that you get the type of respondent you requested. Last but not least the accounting dept prepares your bill making sure that all charges are just what you contracted for.

CD-R Recording of groups is now available. In association with Video Interclipper a CD-R can be made of your group. This CD-R can be viewed on just about any computer with a CD-Rom drive Installed.

DVR's are available at our Downtown and SSF facilities. The DVD recording offers a high quality Video recording and can be viewed on a DVD Player that plays DVD-R discs. The DVD players can be stand alone or part of a laptop or desktop computer.
